1960s IWC Dress Watch In Rose Gold

Why This Watch Matters

This timeless beauty in rose gold features matching rose-gold Arabic numeral and accents, plus lovely flared lugs that add another element of style to this simple and elegant watch.

The Full Story

This IWC dress watch is a quintessential example of what the maker was known for: An elegant and well-proportioned timepiece without compromising quality on the movement powering the watch. This 37mm dress watch was large for its time, and is perfectly suited for anyone's wrist today. The case is made of 18k rose gold and is well preserved with the hallmark still on the side of the case. The soft silvered dial has gained a nice, soft patina with the right amount of sheen. The combination of the rose-gold Arabic numerals, baton indexes, dot track, and sharp Alpha hands nicely fills out the clean, simple dial. The company’s signature in script enhances that nostalgic vintage feel in the best way possible. Powered by the manual-winding IWC caliber 89, it is a workhorse working for you. You feel the legacy and the evolution the company has gone through over many years when you have this timepiece on your wrist. If you are looking for a proper dress watch with a bit of understated glamour, look no further.

There are some visible scratches on the crystal. The dial is in clean condition, and the IWC signature has faded lightly. There is some smudging visible in the outermost area around five o'clock, which is mostly not visible unless you are looking at a certain angle. The hands and crown appear to be original to the watch. The hands show slight aging. The movement is in running condition at this time.
