1940s Lemania Chronograph Caliber 15TL

Why This Watch Matters

Don’t be fooled by the name on the dial, this Lemania could pass for a million-dollar chronograph, but for a fraction of the cost.

The Full Story

What’s not to love about this Lemania chronograph? It has everything we look for in a well-made timepiece – a beautiful two-tone dial, balanced layout, and cool angled lugs. On top of that, it is powered by the two-register 15TL movement, which became the caliber 33.3 chronograph movement that you are likely familiar with from vintage Omega chronographs. But the best thing about this watch is that it looks way more expensive than it is; how can you argue with that?

What we Love and What You Should Know

This is a fantastic watch with some signs of aging. The two-tone dial, although it is beautifully laid out, does have some light spotting, but still looks great to the naked eye. The case has been worn in the past and features a handwritten inscription that we can’t quite decipher. Overall, this is a gorgeous chronograph.
